Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 17, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how IntentionalSpend("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our web application (the "Service"). We keep this simple: we collect the minimum needed to run the Service, and we never sell your data.
1. Information We Collect
- Account information: your email address and basic profile details, provided through our authentication provider when you sign up.
- Budgeting data: the budgets, categories, income, and expense amounts you manually enter. We do not connect to your bank or import transactions.
- Technical data: limited, standard information such as log data needed to operate and secure the Service.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
- To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
- To respond to support requests and communicate with you.
- To comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your budgeting data for advertising.
3. How Your Data Is Stored & Secured
Your data is stored with our infrastructure providers, who encrypt data in transit and at rest using industry-standard methods. Access to your budgeting data is restricted to your authenticated account: every request is verified server-side before any data is returned, so you can only access your own information.
4. Third-Party Service Providers
We rely on trusted third parties to operate the Service, including an authentication provider (to manage sign-in and accounts) and a backend/database provider (to store your data). These providers process information on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments. We share only what is necessary for them to perform their function.
5. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your associated data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it for legal or accounting purposes.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. You can manage much of your information directly in the app, or contact us to exercise these rights.
7. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you of material changes.
9. Contact
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or your data, please contact us by email. See also our Terms of Service.
